For me, liking TouchFlo 3D basically boiled down to, I enjoy using it. Intellectually, I know there are more powerful, more flexible programs (such as Spb Mobile Shell) out there that are probably, objectively speaking, better. But right now I'm using my Touch Pro like the boring businessperson that I am, and my warm fuzzies from the user experience outweigh my annoyance at TF3D's limitations. It's a tradeoff.
I do feel that HTC could fix a lot of the issues I had if they'd stop translating "simple to use" into "complete lack of user options."
@Veronica, I'm planning an article about TF3D tweaks, and the Advanced Configuration Tool is on the list. Have you looked at Diamond TF3D Config?

Thanks for the comments!

For me, liking TouchFlo 3D basically boiled down to, I enjoy using it. I too, am using Mobile Shell on my Touch Diamond, and I'm quite the happy camper!

@Mitchell and Clinton, I agree. Mobile Shell has now replaced TF3D on my Touch Pro. :)

Of course HTC should have included a similar utility in the first place!

LIke any Windows Mobile device, a bit of tweaking makes a big difference. The Advanced Configuration Tool allows the user to customize the TF3D tab:

<a

Surprisingly, it really does work, and breaks that dependence on the stylus. Using an Omnia for two weeks, I never felt I NEEDED the stylus, and without one there to hold my hand, using a fingertip became natural and easy.

Sue, regarding the need to pull out the stylus, I think Samsung has discovered the best way to stop you reaching for it with the Omnia: don't include a silo to hold one! Personally, I think SPB Mobile Shell is an excellent alternative that you can use on all Windows Mobile 5/6 devices, looks great, performs well and has more customisation options.

TouchFlo looks fantastic, but I'm not a fan simply because it isn't powerful enough, nor customisable (well, easily anyway).
