If you believe “one day only” sales — are truly only for one day – then you might want to pay close attention to a sale that the folks at Peek have going on today. For only $299 you get the Peek device – PLUS – a lifetime subscription to their wireless email service that delivers both email and sms text messaging to their pseudo-BlackBerry devices. These popular wireless email devices have been sold primarily via the Target retail chain where they can be found for $79 – $99 depending upon promotions.

I looked at Peek back in October 2008. It’s an intriguing service for someone who does not want to carry a BlackBerry device. The emails are not delivered as fast as on BlackBerry – but they were fast enough that most people won’t notice. Recently the Peek people have added unlimited SMS text send/receive to this device which significantly sweetens the value of their plan.
