The Coast Guard and National Transportation Safety Board released video footage of the U.S. Airways flight 1549 as it conducted an emergency landing into the Hudson River Jan. 15, 2009.
This video was captured on a camera operated by the Coast Guard that monitors the active waterways around the New York City area. Watch the video at the 2:03 mark and you’ll see the initial splash. Shortly thereafter the camera zooms in and you can see people exiting the plane. Thankfully nobody was injured in this plane crash.

That’s an amazing landing, and that’s the guy I want flying my plane when I fly over a body of water. ::handclaps::

Yeah, it’s truly amazing he kept it together like that. Is this the best video they have of the “landing”? It’s the best I’ve seen yet, but it would be great if there was a better one.
