Rapid Repair is announcing a 240 GB hard drive upgrades for 5th generation iPod Video MP3 devices. The company will either perform the upgrade for you — or for the brave at heart they offer a self-install kit. This only works with Ipod Video 5th generation and the drive will NOT function in a computer or any other MP3. The drive itself is a Toshiba 4200 RPM drive promising a 33% overall reduction in energy use. Hard to imagine anyone needing this much MP3 storage – but if you do, now there is a solution. Pricing and availability: $295 is planned price – drives should be available in 2-3 weeks, but customers can currently sign up for wait list. The drives have a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.
