Don’t you hate when you see something go on sale for $69.95 ( 1/2 of what you paid!). I just noticed that my Skooba Laptop Backpack is on overstock sale. I bought mine right at the beginning of summer and used it when I biked all over town with my 15″ MacBook Pro and my work gear securely inside. Now is your chance to pick this up for a steal. The selling point for this backpack is comfort. The back and shoulder straps are fully padded which makes for extremely comfortable usage (crucial if you are going to spend more than 5 minutes with a backpack on your shoulders). More pictures on the next page.

Whether I’m walking or riding the bike – the nice thing about the pack? It doesn’t get all slumped over my shoulder. It fits firmly in the center and stays there.

Inside storage space – plentiful. I like that every pocket securely closes with velcro (a missing feature on my Timbuk2 Blogger Bag that drives me nuts and causes that bag to constantly lose items from the pockets).

There’s a good amount of room here for cell phones, pens, paper, business cards, etc. Everything is secured in its own velcro flapped pocket.

Using an MP3 player is convenient. Simply snake the earphones through the top hole and you’ll be able to listen to music while walking, hiking or biking with the backpack.

There’s a side pocket to hold a water bottle.

One thing I didn’t think about at first but became on of my favorite features is the thickly padded handles. If you’re like me you quickly start to over-stuff your backpack or briefcase. This can make carrying the pack by the handles tiring. Not so much with the thick padding on the Skooba Backpack. During the weekdays I also use my Skooba to cart paperwork into work. The handles make it a lot easier to maneuver the backpack into and out of the front seat of my car.

I’m not sure how long this clearance will last. If you’re in the market for a laptop backpack – I can recommend this model at twice the price — although you won’t have to pay what I did. For a limited time you can cart one away for $69.95.
