Yes this is the old style Slacker 8GB. People complained about the headphones and awkward button placement. They say the device is too big. On the other side of the fence I’ll say that Slacker will let you fill all 40 channels of this device with different types of music. If you’re a fan of 80′s music, Jazz, Hard Rock, etc – you can have a separate channel of music saved to your Slacker. Every night hook this gizmo up via Wireless and the channel is refreshed with new music. Just like magic. But that’s not all. For a monthly $3.99 fee you’ll get the ability to skip as many songs during playback as you want (the free version only allows 3 skips per hour). For the bigger spenders you can pay $7.50 per month and when you hear a song that you like (not all songs are available) – push a button and save it to your player. I’m a believer in the cheaper $3.99 monthly subscription and I use it for my G2, Slacker Web, BlackBerry and iPhone clients. Recommended.

Woot Sellout (Deal is only good today)
