Jenneth Orantia knows gadgets, and if you have been paying attention to her posts here on Gear Diary and on other sites across the web, you’ll know that she has a unique perspective and a strong voice when it comes to how to get the most from gear that you already own, as well as gear that you would like to own.
Jenneth has been mistress of several of her own sites in the past, most notably Mobile Jenneth and Girls Gone Mobile, and she has long been a respected gadget magazine journalist as well. She’s been far too quiet for far too long on the independent web, however – between school and paid writing gigs…but no more!
It gives me great pleasure to announce Gadget Monkeys, Jenneth’s newest gadget site!
Jenneth’s latest article is a feature comparison between Facebook mobile applications across several platforms, and if you happen to be a Facebook junkie, you’ll want to take a peek…
The ability to access Facebook on any given mobile device is very important to me, and thankfully, most smartphone platforms offer a Facebook application that lets me obsessively pore over friends’ status updates, make silly comments to their updates and walls, and just generally keep in touch with my extended community. Series 60 and Android are two platforms that are conspicuously missing a Facebook app, but after doing a feature-by-feature comparison of all the different Facebook applications, I’m not sure they’re missing all that much.
Of course it isn’t all about social networking! Jenneth also has articles about her top ten iPhone website bookmarks, why you might not want to buy a Kindle – considering that you can get eBooks on your iPhone for free, and other articles covering other mobile platform issues and features as well.
It’s great to have Jenneth back; I know that a lot of us have missed her!
So bookmark Gadget Monkeys, add it to your RSS, and follow her on Twitter…you’ll be glad you did.
