Today is the day that Apple will reveal details regarding their new SDK and give a live demo of the new iPhone OS 3.0 software. Speculation is running rampant as to what we can expect, with some saying that the long awaited cut & paste feature will be the main new feature (meh!), and others going so far as to make a scorecard including many of the features we would all like to see (yes, please!)

Live coverage will be available at 10amPST from the following:

Will a Mac Tablet be the “one last thing” that gets mentioned? I’ll believe it when I see it, but just in case, my Amex is ready…

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

I’d be amazed if a tablet was announced today. I’d also be amazed if it didn’t cost under $2500, even for a netbook sized device. I don’t see this happening at all… but that’s just me. Maybe Stevie J. will surprise all of us…

It is also the day that WebIS’s PI for the iPhone/iTouch finally appeared in the iTunes app store. My first impressions are that this will be a must have app for iPhone/iTouch owning adults. I’m looking forward to finding out what the Gear Diary crew thinks of it.
