The days of leaving your high schooler(s) home alone and wondering whether a party’s happening while mom and dad are away are officially over!

This SRV-1 Blackfin Mobile Surveillance robot provides for:

- transmitting video over the Internet via Wi-Fi
- remote control of SRV-1 Mobile Robot from anywhere via the Internet
- open source (some skillz needed for setup)
- capture video feeds on a pre-determined schedule

The product description states some Java knowledge is required as well as some networking and command line skills. How cool would this be? Parents of younger kids like myself might even find this a handy “project in a box” for the next science fair.
