What good would the week be without the good ole’ rumor mill churning with news of a new Blackberry. The folks over at Slash Gear have got some news from a little birdie that “Blackberry Storm 2 due in September“.
From their info it sounds like RIM has addressed one gripe of Storm owners, WiFi!
SlashGear sounds pretty confident in their source, and if so it appears this new handset will be slated for Verizon sometime in September. If all the insider info is correct, Verizon folks may end up with a Blackberry that is WiFi capable.
The timing of the release seems a bit odd, as most owners of the current Storm will still be under contract and will have to pay full price for the upgrade. Kevin over at Crackberry also has some interesting news regarding the possibility of a new screen in his post “Blackberry Storm2 Rumors“.
I am just pumped for any CDMA BB’s that come to either Sprint or Verizon, one getting a release usually means the other is somewhat near, unless it’s the Storm I guess!
Adrian is 28 years old and lives in Newark, Ohio with his wife Katie, 14-month old son Cooper, and two cats Tyson & Samar. He is a claims adjuster for State Farm Auto Insurance, and he has also worked in their systems department. He was a computer science major at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, where he also played baseball. He quickly realized that he did not like writing code or script, which is why he changed both majors and schools, graduating from Franklin University with a BS in Business and minor in HR Management.
Adrian has been a gadget enthusiast as far back as he can remember, and his wife might say that he spends more time in Best Buy than he does with her. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his new little family, reading, watching baseball, and assistant coaching on his high school varsity baseball team. He is also in the process of deciding if he is ready for the transition from PC to Mac, as he's sure many of you can relate.
A certain part of me wonders whether this is all about FUD (fear uncertainty and doubt) — keeping unhappy phone users form switching to a potential new iPhone or Palm Pre model.
Hopefully they do away with the stupid push screen. I was exhausted the time that I tried the Verizon Storm and had to keep push, push, pushing…
