I’m a Mac. I’m a PC. Of course the Linux Foundation had to get in the act and they sponsored a video contest. The winner of which is an Israeli by the name of Amitay Tweeto produced this video which sums up my views of Linux quite nicely.
The runner up places Tux as the hero of a PC on it’s last legs and proves that chicks dig Linux. (ok not all chicks!)
As for the rest of the top five, the next one reminds you that Linux is open and yet it’s not quite clear what Linux is.
Then there’s one titled the Origin. Iit kind of reminds me of the viral nature of the GPL.
http://www.vimeo.com/3771567Then there’s a roshambo game for a donut that results in the donut being split between the competitiors to show Linux’s community nature.
I loved all 5 videos. While they don’t have Jerry Seinfeld, they do make a point that Linux is free. Not in cost, but in freedom. Freedom to make your operating system work and look like you want it to. It also encourages you to give Linux a try on the desktop or in the server room. Linux is ready and we the community are here to help.
We are Linux.
Update: Chris Gavula actually e-mailed me the link so I can’t take whole credit!
