StationStops has just been updated to include the newest April 5, 2009 Metro-North train schedules. In addition the application now links to Google Maps for all stations that it provides a schedule for.

Whether you’re a frequent Metro-North commuter train passenger or just a weekend warrior – this is one of the handiest programs you can have on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Complete maps (both weekdays and weekends) are available for every stop between Grand Central Terminal.

Here’s a sample of the schedule as displayed for the New Haven station.

Version 1.2 adds maps. If you’re unsure of where the station is located you can look at the map.

Click through on the Google Map and Directions and you’re launched out to Google Maps where you can view the station on a map as well as obtain directions.

I use StationStops every time that I go into New York City on the Metro-North train out of New Haven CT. The schedule has always been accurate and I’m glad that I no longer have to take paper schedules from the station. At a cost of $1.99 I rate this application not only a bargain but a must have.
