Evernote announced today that they have added Twitter integration into their already wonderful service. I am really excited by that, because sometimes all I need to do is jot a quick note, and I don’t want to take the extra time open up the Evernote Desktop software or open Evernote on the web.
All you need is a Twitter account and an Evernote account. From Twitter, simply follow myEN on Twitter and then use the instructions sent to you via Direct Message to link your two accounts. Then you can use the power of Twitter to save messages and notes to your Evernote account!
To save a public tweet to Evernote, simply put @myEN in the body of the tweet. This would be great for re-tweeting messages from others. To create a new note directly from Twitter, send a DM to myEN and it will add a new note into your Evernote notebook.
This also harnesses the SMS power of Twitter, making it possible for you to add new notes via Direct Message right from your cell phone. This is great for people who don’t have the awesome mobile apps on their phones.
I’ve already followed myEN on Twitter and I am hooking up my accounts right now! I think this will be a handy addition to how I use Evernote.

I just added a note via DM with Twitpic of a wine label that I had snapped to show a friend what I was drinking the other night–worked like a charm!
