Looks like Crackberry.com have obtained a few pre-release shots of what is labeled as the BlackBerry Curve 8520. New features include dedicated multimedia buttons along the top of the device, an optical track ball that does away with the annoying sticky ball. Unfortunately this model is EDGE only though it does seem to have Wi-Fi and while it possesses a camera of unknown pixels – there’s no flash.

Yuuuummmmmm!!!! I am still waiting for Sprint to get on the wagon and start releasing more BB’s, there’s only so many HTC devices they can release! But with the release of the Palm Pre still looming I don’t think they will do too much to take any sales from that flagship device. If not for the great rates on data plans and my 25% discount, I would have jumped ship to another carrier for a newer BB a long time ago! Wonder how reliable the optical track ball will actuall be.
