As we, along with most everyone else, reported yesterday Slingbox for iPhone was set to launch in the iTunes App Store and last night it did.  It came to the U.K. App Store first around 9:30 PM EST and into the US App Store shorty there after.

As expected the application sells for $29.99 and works on wifi only.  However, if your iPhone is Jailbroken, you can install the VOIPover3G utility and the app will also run on 3G.

I have the app running on both wifi and 3G, connected to my Slingbox solo and it’s working perfectly.

We will be posting a full review of Slingbox for iPhone soon.

Note:  Slingbox for iPhone requires the 2.2.1 software.

More information about the Slingbox for iPhone application can be found in the App Store.
