I think they face the same type of challenge as the Zune did coming out against the iPod - it not only has to be better (to succeed) but it has to be a LOT better. The difference is, that this has to compete against Windows Mobile, iPhone, Blackberry, and Nokia - all of which excel at certain aspects/needs. What new and compelling thing is Palm going to bring to the table? So far I'm not seeing anything that's all that compelling, but Palm could surprise us! As this has gone on I’ve become less interested in this device too. Moreover, I wish I could have more info on the Tasks and Notes PIM applications, on which I rely heavily for my daily work and personal organization (categories and contexts in a GTD fashion). My desire is still high, given that I see NO real contenders to my Treo 650. As a matter of fact I bought yesterday a Palm Centro (99 €, unlocked, no contract) and I really don't care of any of the other WM, iPhone, BB, Symbian or Android smartphones. They simply do not work for me (well, this is what I believe), and I admit I'd change only to taste something differnt. Yes, now a new run of guesses will start.
