I’d heard that the ability to read and review your Kindle book notes and highlights online was coming soon. This morning I received notice that any notes (or passage highlights) that I make on my Kindle are viewable via the Amazon web site.

Here’s a copy of a book that is on my Kindle to illustrate where your notes and highlighted passes would appear.

I suppose this is the first step in perhaps being able to share notes in a classroom setting or even have an instructor be able to “beam” a set of lessons out to a class that is using the Kindle DX as a textbook.

For those of you with 9 year old kids that come home daily with papers wedged in the bottom of a backpack – how cool would it be if the schools could put all their assignments and notes home onto a Kindle – which you’d have the ability to review either on the device or on your computer?
