At under $10 this is essentially a disposable headset; while you can find batteries online or at Radio Shack, the extra effort might make it cheaper to just toss the headset and get another one.  This also means no using NiMHs for cheap reusability.
Still, this model works well enough, and the use of an alkaline battery means that it can sit around for a long time between uses... good to toss into the glovebox as a backup in case your usual one is out of juice or forgotten at home.
