YouTube Preview ImageYesterday Google announced an ambitious upcoming product called Google Wave. It’s an open source personal communication and collaboration tool that’s still in the early stages and has not been formally released. The promise appears to be that Google Wave will capture and consolidate all your communications with contacts. From my very brief review this looks a lot like Friendfeed with a bigger budget and added features. For now only developers can get an early look. Google decided to preview this early to steal Microsoft’s BING search engine thunder so that developers could get to work becoming familiar with this new open source tool. Take a look at this full length (1:20) recording of the unveiling yesterday and see what the excitement is all about.
