I’ve just noticed (though this certainly could have been the case for some time) that Amazon is offering three models of discounted Netbooks with embedded 3G mobile broadband connectivity. The discounts on the models are at least $300 provided that you also subscribed to the pricey (typically $60+/mo) wireless broadband service of either AT&T or Verizon.

The models sold are the HP Mini 1150 NR, Acer Aspire One 3G and HP Mini 1151NR. All feature 10.1 inch screens and coverage respectively from AT&T, AT&T and Verizon.
The discounts listed for buying with a plan vary ranging from $439 for the HP Mini 1150NR to $300 for the Acer Aspire One 3G.
My question is why not just buy a 3G Broadband Card with USB capabilities which is widely available for free. Then you can use it on ANY computer with a USB port and not be restricted to one small Netbook.
