According to website Crunchgear, Virgin Mobile today has announced a pay as you go plan for mobile broadband. When the service goes live later this month expect to pay $150 for a contract free Novatel Ovation MC760 USB dongle. The Pay-as-you-go VM Top-Up cards are slated to be available in 100MB, 250MB, 500 MB and 1GB sizes. The 100 MB costs $10 but must be used within 10 days. The 250 MB costs $20, 500 MB costs $40 and 1 GB costs $60. The pricing is a bit steep but this is a remarkable opportunity for the infrequent mobile broadband user to get connected on the Sprint EVDO A network.
