I’m a big fan of gaming on the iPhone / iPod Touch.  There have been some excellent titles released.  A little while back, our own Larry Greenberg did a review of one such title, Flight Control for the iPhone.   Since then, it hasn’t left the top 20 paid apps and with newest version has reentered the top 10.

For those that haven’t experienced this little gem, Flight control is a maddeningly simple game where you must land the planes on the appropriate runways.  All you have to do is swipe a path to them.  But more planes means more chaos and more challenge – hence the addicting nature of the game!

Now the folks at Firemint have updated the game to version 1.2.  The new version includes 2 new airfield choices – an oceanside (with 2 helicopter landing zones, a water runway for seaplanes, and a nearby “regular” runway) – and an aircraft carrier airfield (this one gets going very quickly).  Both offer new types of planes as well!

Flight Control is still only $0.99 in the iTunes App Store and worth a look!
