iPhone Gets Supersized!

Posted on 15 June 2009 by

If you are like me and have ever wondered what iPhone OS would look like on a larger screen, here is your chance.

No, we’re not talking iPhone OS on a 9″ Tablet (although I’m still holding out hope for one of those). That would be a “Large-Size serving” of iPhone. No, we’re talking “Super-Sized”!

The video might well be an elaborate hoax. If it is, more power to the creator of it and my thanks for a few minutes of truly entertaining video! If it isn’t, I only have one more question- “Where can I get me one of those?”

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen

That is a really excellent video – looked very real, anyway.

The Crunchgear site is pretty much exploding with comments over this.

Does the monitor have mutli touch as well as an accelorometer? Pretty slick. I’m skeptical though.

Can play Tap Tap Revenge on that?

… it would be more like Bang Bang Revenge at that size!

Great video, but I would really like to see the monitor with multitouch and accelerometer built in.
