I use twitter as a sort of combo information gathering / quick communication thing. I had too many folks I was following early on, too many incoming tweets to filter out the noise. So I pruned back and have hit a nice level of follows to followers. I understand it in the same way I understand Facebook folks with no friends or entries … they heard cool things, signed up, and then lost interest – maybe didn’t find anyone to follow … or just as bad, hooks into someone who Tweets every inanity on a by-the-minute basis.

I use twitter as a sort of combo information gathering / quick communication thing. I had too many folks I was following early on, too many incoming tweets to filter out the noise. So I pruned back and have hit a nice level of follows to followers.
