iPhone OS 3.0 was just released into the wild! Start your download and let us know how it goes…
Updates Follow!!!

UPDATE: 1:21PM EST
Apple hits users of their products with more than a few limitations. “You can do this, you can’t do that.” “This app is in, this app is out.” It can all be a bit annoying.
Here’s what’s not.
iTunes says, “An update is available”
Two clicks of a mouse later and the new OS is being downloaded and installed.
It moves forward as smoothly as can be and…
less than 15 minutes later the process is all but complete.
Sure it can be a pain to deal with Apple’s ever-moving boundaries. The trade off however is an update process that could not be simpler. In fact, loading an entirely new OS on my iPhone right now was as easy, or even easier, than loading an application on the WM-running Epix or the Symbian-running E71 I used a few weeks ago.
Update: 1:24pm EST

Update 1:29PM EST
Total time loading OS 3.0 start to finish…less than 30 minutes!
