We’ve already read about NextWorth’s great iPhone 3G trade-in deal, now we are hearing from Gazelle. They are another ‘Cash for Old Electronics’ company, one that has gone out of their way to position themselves as a ‘green’ alternative. For the next could of days they are offering a 10% bonus for trading in your iPhone (and not just a 3G either!). The cash paid specifically for the iPhone 3G seems a bit lower than NextWorth, but since they will also take your original iPhone at a 10% bonus it is worth a look.

Here is a snip from their press release:

Have an iPhone now? If you sell it to help purchase the new 3G S, start at gazelle.com/iphone to receive a 10% bonus on your trade in through this Friday.

If you don’t have an iPhone already but you’re thinking of selling other items to get cash to upgrade, visit www.gazelle.com/iphone-upgrade

They are also doing some other fun & good stuff:

Just for fun we’re running a contest on Twitter: Gazelle your old phone and put it to rest in peace by eulogizing it using #RiPhone on Twitter. Our favorite will win $199 this Friday. One of our favorites so far: “The time has come to lay to rest my newest cellphone that was the best. Now my 3g is old news the 3gs has got me singing the blues #RIPhone”

Gazelle for Good, our new fundraising service that helps you to raise money for a good cause by collecting used gadgets instead of cash, is taking off. This month more than 100 NPOs and individual fundraisers started a gadget drive. Visit gazelleforgood.com to start your own.

I have loved technology for as long as I can remember - and have been a computer gamer since the PDP-10! Mobile Technology has played a major role in my life - I have used an electronic companion since the HP95LX more than 20 years ago, and have been a 'Laptop First' person since my Compaq LTE Lite 3/20 and Powerbook 170 back in 1991! As an avid gamer and gadget-junkie I was constantly asked for my opinions on new technology, which led to writing small blurbs ... and eventually becoming a reviewer many years ago. My family is my biggest priority in life, and they alternate between loving and tolerating my gaming and gadget hobbies ... but ultimately benefits from the addition of technology to our lives!
