If you are like me, you have Twitter clients on multiple devices – in my case it is my work PC, home netbook, home Mac home PC, and iPod Touch. This makes it convenient to update from just about anywhere. The downside? Opening up whatever device and seeing hundreds of new unread tweets just minutes after being on a different device. Here comes TweetDeck to the rescue!

TweetDeck is a favored Twitter client because of the compact multi-column interface, easy integration through Adobe Air, and the ‘beyond Twitter’ functionality. It can be a bit of a memory and processor pig for a background task on a netbook. The newest updates introduce an iPhone / iPod Touch client that captures much of the functionality of the desktop client and the ability to synchronize accounts on multiple devices. Those additions mean that after setting it aside for a while, TweetDeck is back in my life!

As noted at LifeHacker:

TweetDeck through sliding tabs, and offers most of the functionality for reading and posting that other popular apps like Seesmic and TwitterFon. Most importantly, it does what its desktop counterparts does–sifts and sorts through all kinds of noise to let you get at your replies, messages, and most relevant search terms quickly.

And as always, TweetDeck is FREE! So head on over to TweetDeck and grab your copy!

I have loved technology for as long as I can remember - and have been a computer gamer since the PDP-10! Mobile Technology has played a major role in my life - I have used an electronic companion since the HP95LX more than 20 years ago, and have been a 'Laptop First' person since my Compaq LTE Lite 3/20 and Powerbook 170 back in 1991! As an avid gamer and gadget-junkie I was constantly asked for my opinions on new technology, which led to writing small blurbs ... and eventually becoming a reviewer many years ago. My family is my biggest priority in life, and they alternate between loving and tolerating my gaming and gadget hobbies ... but ultimately benefits from the addition of technology to our lives!
