It’s taken a while, but it looks like BlackBerry’s partnership with U2 is finally showing some signs of life. Joey atBlackBerryNews just broke the latest update — no, there is still nothing up on BlackBerryU2.com. We can, however, expect a Mobile Album to be released. There seems to be some more goodies at play from the boys of Dublin and Waterloo. Take a look…
Since there is a link to BlackBerry’s App World, will the album be for sale via App World? Now, that would be pretty smart, RIM. If you watch the teaser video, you will also see glimpses of what U2 and RIM have in store; such as the ability to share an image with others who listen to a song from the mobile album, view a video, and “experience the tour from all angles.”

Joey also noted that there appears to be a geocaching feature that can be used to show your friends where you are (and where they are, if attending) during the concert. This could be a very interesting collaboration. I hope so. I would love to eat my words about App World. Maybe RIM is going to be slowly but surely turning things around with some interesting applications, starting with this U2 love-in.

Thanks to Ronen at BerryReview and Joey at BerryNews for spotting these updates.
