iTunes-13-1

In any language you use, the App Store is a hit. Just a year after it first went live the iTunes App Store continues to transform mobile computing. Now no device can be taken seriously if it doesn’t have an Application Store. Now “There’s An App For That” is fully part of the lexicon. Now we continue to spend $.99 here and $1.99 there only to be shocked at just how many apps we have bought at the end of the month.

Yes, despite all the crApp in the App Store, regardless of Apple’s continuing issues with the approval process and even with the on-going whimsical rejections decisions, we all see that in just one year the App Store has taken its place in the technology history books.

So as the App Store turns one, we want to know…

Your “All Time Favorite Game”.

Your Favorite Productivity App.

Your “Can’t Live Without It” App.

And, your biggest disappointment App.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
