I have NOT jailbroken my new 3GS iPhone and installed the Rock your phone software, then purchased MyFi. USB tethering worked fine. Wifi did not at first till I realized I had to “prime the pump” by going to any website On the 3GS while MyFi was activated. It works, I can even have my old deactivated iPhone 3G share the wifi signal from my 3GS and surf the net.

Well, I’m using WMWifiRouter on one of my Windows Mobile devices and it works quite good. The only problem is that battery life is quite bad.

Similar apps have been available on WM/Symbian for a while now, I think. I’d still prefer to use the separate MiFi, if only because of the battery impact on the iPhone. It’s not exactly known for its frugality

Bummer that the best stuff requires jailbreaking which in my prior experience largely left me wondering (often irrationally) if my jailbreak was causing that last system crash.
