I’ve been looking for a little while for an easy way to upload video to Facebook. I know that you can send a video via MMS – which is already available and free to all members. Unfortunately I’m using the iPhone 3GS on AT&T which doesn’t support MMS (though they promise that it’s coming really soon now). Last night I spotted Video Up in the iTunes Store. It promises to allow effortless upload of video from your iPhone 3GS to Facebook. How’d it work?
The program first asks for a connection to Facebook. This is by now a standard screen that most Facebook integrated applications use. Supply your user name and password and the connection is made. You can have the program remember your login credentials for easier access the next time.
You can either shoot video and then upload it to Facebook or the program will browse your video files and allow you to select a video for upload.
Here’s what the video looked like in my Facebook page.

And here’s the actual video:
This is exactly the simple tool that I need to upload videos to Facebook while I’m on the go. It’s worth noting that the next version of the Facebook application is scheduled to include video upload as well. For only .99 you can’t go wrong with Video Up!

But the 3G S upload is still throttled.
