For my leather cases, I prefer to brine them first, pat dry then do a dry marinade rub with Penzeys Leather Case Spice Rub. I’m old school so I use a charcoal grill with true charcoal. One of these days though I’m going to get a Weber Bullet smoker to properly finish them.
