Late last year the PS3 got a very innovative game that wasn’t just appropriate for all ages, but also invited you to use your imagination and creativity in ways beyond most other console games. The game was LittleBigPlanet (commonly referred to as LBP) and the ’star’ of the game was a character called SackBoy. The game invited you to envision new worlds and new costumes for SackBoy in its’ tagline – Play. Create. Share. Gamers adopted the game relatively slowly at first, but momentum hasn’t stopped growing in the more than six months since the game launched – nor has the creativity of folks who are creating both virtual and real SackBoy creations.
One look at the SackBoy character and I was immediately reminded of a classic stuffed animal toy. Evidently that is not a coincidence, as many real-world creations of SackBoy have emerged that are essentially dress-up dolls. But there is some other really cool stuff folks are doing .. here are just a few:
On this site Adam from the UK gives us a complete step by step guide to making your own SackBoy costume.

And here are a few shots of cool designs from the PS3MavenSite. First we have a cool Indiana Jones theme:

And also a ‘Ladies Man’ design.

There are loads more to look at on the PS3Maven Site!
So is anyone here a PS3 owner and LittleBigPlanet fan? Have you or your family done any crazy SackBoy stuff? Let us know!
