Larry recently reviewed the Dexim AV Dock.  In his review he noted that, pre-Apple TV, he used the video-out functionality on his iPhone quite frequently and found the constant plugging and unplugging of cables to be a pain. That made the Dexim AV Dock a winner for him.

I don’t use the video out functionality that often. As a result, I don’t want or need a permanent solution. That’s why the Scosche ShowTIME cable is perfect for me.

The cable and metal RCA plugs are high quality, heavy duty construction that should last a long time with a great deal of plugging and unplugging.  Since it is compatible with any iPod or iPhone that plays video it is a great choice for the multi-iPod household. Set up was simple and the video quality was great.

In all, since I mostly use the video out feature when traveling, the showTIME is perfect for me. And at a retail price of $39.99 it is significantly less than the Dexim AV Dock.
