Agent 18 Cases For iPhone 3GS

I have been a fan of Agent18’s cases since first reviewing one for JAMM last summer. I find them to be well designed and stylish. I also love the fact that they use post-consumer plastic bottles and recycled paper in producing and packaging their products.
Agent 18 recently came out with a new series of cases that fit the iPhone 3G and 3GS. Each of the new cases includes both a screen film AND a simple, but functional, table stand. (Note to iPhone accessory companies… ALL cases should include both of these!)
Let’s take a look at some of the new cases…
EcoShield Slider for iPhone

The EcoShield is a sturdy case that adds a good deal of protection and “grippyness”. The two parts lock together and, at least in my experience, can be a bit difficult to get apart once the iPhone is in it. The case covers the volume and sleep buttons while continuing to permit fully access to their functionality. The headphone post, silent toggle and charge/sync port remain open. Perhaps the best features of the case are the high degree of protection it provides without adding much size or weight and a surface that adds a degree of grip to the iPhone 3GS.

The original FlowerVest case offered soft-feel protection and an eye-catching design. My wife loved hers duing her short-lived use an an iPod touch! The ShockShield offers a step up in bump protection from the FlowerVest case. Coming in five different colors the ShockShield has a unified color but a “carved” design that adds interest and makes the case easy to hold. While the screen is open and accessible the Home button is covered. This offers protection without loss of functionality. I tend to avoid this style of case but if I were looking for a robust silicon case this would definitely be worth considering.

I love this case! Plain and simple… I love it. The low-profile SlimShield lives up to its name. It provides excellent protection of the iPhone’s side and back without any loss of functionality. It is so thin and formfitting that it is easy to forget you are using it. Better still, since some accessories such as the Mophie JuicePack Air require the iPhone me “naked” in order to use them, the case is easily put on and taken off. Did I mention I like this case???

This is one of the more unique cases I’ve seen for the iPhone. It certainly gets some looks when people spot it. It’s really not much more than a back cover and offers little in the way of shock and impact protection. But what it lacks in protection it makes up for in style. The cover itself is tacky so it does offer a nice amount of grip. Inserting the phone into the case is quite simple, removal is a little more challenging, but not impossible. This case protects that precious back portion of the phone without adding bulk.
