Ahhh, another fun loving weekend coming to a close.   Maybe you missed some of this past week’s reviews and highlights — like what do you do when your netbook bites the dust when you’re travelling internationally; or whether an HP has the goods to replace Judie’s MacBook Air.  Now, before you get another “case of the Mondays” take a break and catch up with the Gear Diary team.  Click on for some of last week’s best…

Correction: Rhomobile Supports Push Data for iPhone and BlackBerry Application development.
The July 15th post has been updated, confirming that Rhomobile applications have never been rejected from Apple’s App Store (a blog post on Rhomobile’s web site was actually referring to some problems that another team over at Phonegap had run into back in May with their applications).

All-Go or All-Show?
Michael does an in-depth review of Mobile Edge’s ECO Messenger  Laptop Bag, and finds out how green this gear really is.

Are you buying your eyeglasses online?  You should be!
Judie covers all the bases and shows us how to purchase quality eyeglasses onlineat a fraction of the price paid
compared to the brick-and-mortar chain stores and even your local optometrist.

Recession-proof Gear
Want an iPhone 3G for under $50?  How about a laptop with a 15.4″ screen for under $300?  Done and done :)

Get the Most From Your iPhone
Dan and Larry show us some of the best apps, accessories, and how-to’s so you can do even more with your iPhone/iPod Touch.

* Updated:  How to Run the SlingBox iPhone App over 3G

* Use your iPhone as your main point-and-shoot camera?  Better check out these must-have apps.

* Using GoogleVoice on your iPhone?  If so, you’ll want to check out Dan’s take on VoiceCentral.

* Maybe you want to foster your inner Spielberg?  Take a look at Movie-Maker. Stopmotion never looked so good

* Give your iPhone into a Turn-By-Turn GPS without monthly subscription fees with Navigon’s latest app (psssst!  You may want to hurry.  The app is currently $69.99 — but only until August 15th.   After that date the app goes to it’s regular price of $99.99).

* There are many apps that entertain us.  This week Larry showed us an app that can help make a difference by giving to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Web Browsing Services:  Speed and Functionality — At a Price to Your Privacy
Christopher Gavula runs down the benefits of new web browsing services, as well as how those services may impact your own privacy and security.

Did we miss any of your favorites from the past week?  Sound off in the comments and let us know what you liked :)
