What’s better than a bundle of Mac applications at a tremendously reduced price? One application for free just for signing up to get notifications on the deal!
That’s right, the MacBundleBox is getting ready to launch their next bundle. Better still, if you sign up to get updates from them you’ll get a copy of Koingo software’s $19.95 Amnesia for free. Amnesia is a great way to not only uninstall applications completely but to take a snapshot of the application’s setup before you do just in case you need to reinstall.
The new bundle goes live August 1. Amnesia licenses will be sent the day before. Sign up by visiting here.
Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”)
Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
I thought the uniatall process was as simple as dragging the icon to the trash? Do we need another application to remove left-over reminents? Or is the main purpose of this app to save your application settings invade you install the program again? Thanks
Dan Cohen
It isn’t just the application at issue with an uninstall but other files and folders an application may have created. I have always used AppZapper (got it in a bundle) and am always amazed at how many other items get flushed along with the main app when I delete something. An application like this makes sure it is a clean sweep when you remove something.

Oh. I knew windows installs and uninstalls were messy. Good to know Mac is similar. So I can take steps to keep it clean. Thanks.

No free amnesia..

Yeah, this wasn’t handled in the best manner. In the morning an email went out to people who registered that there would be a delay in the reg codes but to rest assured that they would be coming. Then last night the developer of the application sent an email saying it was a mistake.
I will give them the fact that they did sent codes for two other apps to anyone who emailed but ONLY to people who emailed.
There are other bundles now running like the macbundles and themacsale and I am more inclined to deal with them going forward.
