CoPilot 8 has just appeared in the iPhone App store ready to start a price war with other turn-by-turn GPS applications. The price of $34.99 is a more affordable fee for many and is $35 cheaper than the promotional price of Navigon. This GPS navigation system features turn-by-turn voice directions, street maps of USA and Canada that are stored on your iPhone, navigation to an address book contact, LiveLink location sharing and messaging so you can keep track of your CoPilot friends live on-screen (convoy anyone?). As with most GPS turn-by-turn applications this one’s over 1GB so you’re well advised to cable up your device and set aside an hour or two for the download.

Interesting. Half the price of Navigon. Are you going to do a head to head review of both?
