Sometimes I'd have a burst of activity and use it a lot and other times I'd go weeks without using it. An alternative to Jott that so far is still free is Dial2Do.com Has a lot of the same features and applications - e-mail, SMS texting, reminders to self, sending appointments to online calanders, twitter, Remember The Milk, etc. Transcription seems to be on par with Jott's, although I think that is often a function of the individual. For the longest time I only used Jott to create notes for myself. When I started using all the other features over the weekend I was blown away. I especially like the ability to create accurate emails to key people or groups quickly. Also I didn't even mention the ability to create a Toodledo or Remember The Milk task and hear your favorite rss feeds read to you. In all it is really powerful if you really use the features. I'd tried Jott integration to calendar in the past and it seemed to be out of order (I'm on Apps for Domains so that could be the problem too). I definitely was thinking the other day how much an audio (voice to text0 email/Twitter assistant would be helpful. tx Dan thanks for pointing this out.
