Today is day eleven of HP and Microsoft’s ‘Back to School and Better Together’ Giveaway, which means that College Times will begin theirs. Up for grabs is a computer combo containing an HP dv6, an HP Mini 110 and Syncables software – which allows you to keep the larger laptop at home but carry the smaller netbook (synced and carrying all of your data!) when on the go. We can finally reveal the precise contest details, so listen up!…

1) You must be a registered member of CollegeTimes and must be “active” between August 22-26 (Note: this contest is available to users from around the world! You can live anywhere, but you must be a proficient English writer!)

2) You must submit to CollegeTimes at least one article (must be approved for publishing) and at least one forum post

3) The following equation will be used to help pick our winner (its a bit flexible!):

1. 20% – user’s articles published before August 22, 2009
2. 50% – quality and quantity of user’s articles published between August 22-26, 2009
3. 30% – quality and quantity of user’s article comments and forum posts between August 22-26

Now… you might be thinking “this is unfair for new users” – but before you go thinking such depressing things, please realize that we only have half a dozen writers who ACTIVELY submit articles to CollegeTimes. Remember that whole thing where you must be ACTIVE during August 22-26?
