Newsy has a report posted offering different perspectives on Google Voice v. Apple.
I understand that it is not cut and dry, and that it is a complex issue; but it is one that I suspect Apple will ultimately lose.
My biggest issue these days is Apple approving an app and then either removing or changing it AFTER people have bought it. If they are going to do that, then they should have a system to AUTOMATICALLY reimburse people who bought it in good faith.
Who is in the right? Who is in the wrong? Who will win in the end? What do you think?

I honestly think that the vast majority of iPhone user don’t give a crap about all of this.
The complaints of the app store seems to be in the echo chamber of the tech press and that’s about it.

doogald-
You may be completely correct most people may not give a crap about this but…
if it keeps up it just might, in the long run, lead to a serious degree of stagnation with the platform… especially as Android makes its move over the next year or two.
In addition, what has truly given the platform legs is the wealth of apps available for it. I’m not a developer but were I I might think twice before investing a huge amount of time and resources into developing an app that may or may not ultimately be approved or, if approved, might be suddenly removed or neutered at Apple whim.
If that begins to have an impact we’ll end up with plenty of fart and 5000 sound apps while the developers of the really good apps, the ones that MAKE the platform time time, development etc will move on to a platform that is worth their investment.
Are we there right now? Nope. not even close. But if it keeps up… just watch.
