Evernote Updates Mac Client Once Again

Another month, another Evernote update. Not that we are complaining.

Those of us who use Evernote as our “catch everything and put it just a few key taps away” can’t help but appreciate the regular updates the company releases for all its native applications. Today the update makes Evernote’s Mac client fully compatible with Snow Leopard. iSight notes now work as they should (they are an awesome way to quickly grab a shot of a receipt or physical note) and the Safari clipper works properly once again.

Perhaps best of all, this update removes one of my biggest pet peeves with Evernote. Until now, if the Evernote window was closed it wasn’t always easy to open a new window. Now all you need to do in order to open a new window is click the icon. Small change? Yup. But each incremental change makes the application better and better.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
