Over the past several years more and more of the PC gaming industry has moved to Digital Downloads, and while Steam definitely has the dominant position, Direct2Drive has seen tremendous success and growth. Now they have hit their 5-year anniversary and WE get the presents! Week 1 was highlighted here and featured Ubisoft and strategy games! Read on to find out more!
According to two entries on Twitter:
D2D Turns 5 Week 2: Action packed titles galore, all $5! Bioshock, Saints Row 2, STALKER, and more!
But wait, there’s more! Buy one $5 game and get automatically entered in our contest to win ALL 50 GAMES! http://bit.ly/LQHVo
As stated, over the next five weeks 50 games will be chopped to $5 – this week with 10 games from the Action game genre. I liked last week’s list, but already had enough of the games digitally that I didn’t get anything. This week however … I own Bioshock and STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl in digital format, but the sale on The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is just absolutely stunning, and I simply have to pick up Thief: Deadly Shadows, Serious Sam Gold, and Max Payne 2 to have them wherever I go.
There are also some teasers on the site of what to expect in coming weeks:
* Week One : Ubisoft and strategy games (Expired)
* Week Two: Action Games
* Week Three: RPGs & MMOs
* Week Four: Indie Games
* Week Five: War Games
