Update: Kevin’s youngest has spoken. I asked her to pick a number between one and eleven, and she said ten and five. That means the winners are breley and warp65. Congrats! :-)

If you’ve found yourself cutting back on some of life’s little luxuries, then you’ll love this: Gear Diary is teaming with Maghound to give away one year subscriptions at their $4.95 level to two lucky readers. What that basically means for you is subscriptions to three magazines of your choice per month for one year – for FREE.

Entering the giveaway is simple – just tell me which three magazines you would like to try if you win.

For instance, my choices were Discover, National Geographic, and Science Illustrated. The cool thing is that since Science Illustrated is a magazine that only comes out every other month, I was able to set Smithsonian to deliver in the months Science Illustrated takes off. Setting this up was really easy through Maghound’s website.

Which three would you choose? Leave your choices in the comments, and I’ll pick a winner at midnight CST on the 18th.

**You don’t have to actually stay with those choices, you just have to list three to enter. ;-)

Good luck! :-)

We aren’t the only site left that is giving away subscriptions, so if you don’t win here, you still have a chance.
Gear Diary: 15-Sep thru 18-Sep
Tierra Wilson: 16-Sep thru 19-Sep
Chris Pirillo: 17-Sep thru 20-Sep
A Couch with a View: 18-Sep thru 21-Sep
Nadine Jolie: 19-Sep thru 22-Sep
Two of a kind, Working on a Full House: 20-Sep thru 23-Sep
Chip Chick: 21-Sep thru 24-Sep

Small print: This contest is open to entrants from the US only, and winning subscriptions will only be sent to US addresses.

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

I used to subscribe to Discover and Popular Science, so I’d like to get those again if I win. I’d also like to add Scientific American.

National Geographic, Esquire and Dwell would really make my treadmill time go much faster. (Got to do it, to keep my OTHER foot out of the grave, but I will never enjoy it–need all the distraction I can get.)
