I like the stuff that comes our of Wired.com’s Gadget Labs but this is just weird.

They have posted an inane video comparing the new Zune HD to the… iPod nano??? Let’s see, touch screen, app-running, WiFi enabled Zune up against… scroll wheel iPod with a camera?

Seriously, this is one I don’t get.

But I am looking forward to their next video. In that one they’ll compare the iPhone 3GS to… The Moto RAZR!!!

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen

Hey, they both came out about the same time and have FM radios :)

I actually bought both, but I compared my iPod nano to my old nano and the Zune 4GB, which is a much more comparable take on the device. As you said, the iPod touch is the most comparable to the Zune HD.
