So you’re settling in to another long week and getting into your routine.  Don’t worry, there’ s plenty of Gear Diary goodness coming up to get you through the next seven days.   Before you start getting all misty-eyed over how fast the weekend went by, let’s take a look at some of last week’s highlights.

In case you missed it, the Palm Pre has significantly been sliding down in price.  If you’ve been holding out, your timing will certainly pay off.  We thought the $99 Palm Pre price was good.  Then Wayne let everyone know about a deal where you can scoop up a Pre for $55 at Wal-Mart with a rebate + coupon code.   More Pre good news?  Well, it won’t be much longer before the GSM version of the Palm Pre will finally start to hit the streets (the UK, Ireland and Germany should see the GSM Pre first — but we expect a lot of folks to start eyeballing eBay to get early shots at the device on this side of the pond ;) ).

Let’s not forget some of the other deals, big wins, and news from last week either…

iPhone owners on AT&T finally got MMS on Friday.   How’s it working for you?  Any outage issues?  Has the feature been worth the wait — or has everyone you know already stepped up to sending their pictures via email or simply sharing on Facebook?    Perhaps another feature for iPhone owners that is more anticipated is Push Gmail via Google Sync.

The Nintendo Wii officially hit the $199 mark — and Wayne quickly spotted another deal to knock the price down another $25. Cha-Ching!

Judie just wrapped up week four of using the Rosetta Stone TOTALe system to learn Spanish. Be sure to check out the entire series to see how well the system works for learning a new language.

Speaking of series…Gear Diary writers Carly Z and Michael Anderson just started two new features to keep you up to date on the State of the eBook and the Netbook Gamer.   Carly will be bringing everyone the very latest news in ebooks and digital publishing.   The series is one that will quickly grow, as we’ve already seen that the convenience and instant gratification of  ebooks can outsell their paperback brethren.

In Netbook Gamer, Michael takes popular games from the past decade to see which ones can perform (and entertain) on current Netbooks — giving you both portability and fun! The series started with a bang with the first review, featuring Star Wars Jedi Knight.

…And, let’s not forget the Winners from Last Week!

We would like to congratulate the winners of the Neogreene GiveawayMikeKarr and Melvynadam, as well as the winner of the 500 GB ioSafe External Hard Drive, uzziah0.

Congratulations!   Stay tuned for more contests and opportunities to win.
