Actually most (90%) of the country is 3G covered so 3G speeds up to 1.8Mb/s are pretty normal. Funny thing is that even though I work for mobile operator, we don't have blazing speeds in the office - I just made a test here and I get 1.3Mb/s and the TP2 shows 3G no HSDPA, but we are still upgrading the network to HSDPA.
At home it's another story. I live in an old house with thick stone walls and the most I get there is EDGE, but that's not network or device problem it's the walls.

I have HSDPA/HSUPA enabled and I get quite good speeds, of course depending on location.<br

Hodgesmt - glad to hear that you like the TP2 as well. I agree that it is very, very solid out of the box. Aside from loading my favorite apps onto it, I can't really thing of any hackers... erm, I mean adjustments :-) I made to it. I just works well.
The display is fantastic and really makes the device a joy to use in my opinion... that and as I said, I think the keyboard is fantastic.

Alese – how has your throughput been on HSPDA/HUDPA on the device?

Hodgesmt – glad to hear that you like the TP2 as well. I purchased one and was going to give my wife my xv6800, but after using it for 2 days we decided to get her one too. All previous ppc phones I have had I had to tinker with to get to work the way I wanted it. But stock out of the box this device just worked. Ebooks look nice on VGA and touch flo is smooth. I put Zagg full cover on mine, and on my wife's I put a boxwave clear with a clear shell from nakedcellphone. She likes to put hers in her purse, I use a holster. I don't want to hurt these beautiful devices! Glad I skipped the vzw gimped touch pro 1!

I have to say that this touch pro 2 is the best thing since sliced bread. Yes the keyboard is just great, it's one of the main reasons I wanted Pro2.

Jup, I have HTC branded European version exactly the same as yours – of course here in Europe 3G works just fine… <img

I found the keyboard to be excellent on this phone.

Yes it's bigger and heavier than my old HTC Diamond, but the bigger screen and excellent keyboard make up for that easily.

I have mine (company issued) for about two weeks now and I still love it.<br
