Welcome back to the GearGames weekly video game release feature here at Gear Diary! After last week’s PSP Go launch, this week is filled with games, games, and more games! Among the big releases are Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for every current platform, the long awaited Demon’s Souls for the PS3. But the one that will likely leave echoes across the entire holiday season – Wii Fit Plus.

There is also another much-delayed game – A Witches Tale for the DS, as well as an Operation Flashpoint tactical shooter for multiple platforms. There are actually plenty of solid releases I haven’t mentioned, so check out the list!

Some notes from last week:

  • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
  • - Better than initially reviewed, but still not up to the standards set by the earlier games in the series.

  • Risen
  • - Like a trip back to the wonders of Gothic 2, Risen is a triumph of PC gaming.

  • Gran Turismo
  • - A solid game, but disappointing based on the type.

What games am I playing now?:

  • PC: Risen – this is an amazing role playing game that meets all of the high expectations of Gothic fans.
  • PSP: Persona – nice classic RPG remake, but perhaps lacking in some updates.
  • PSP: FieldRunners and Hero of Sparta – I am enjoying the minis, and perhaps these two are even better than the iPhone version.

So what are you playing? Chime in below!

Enjoy gaming!

I have loved technology for as long as I can remember - and have been a computer gamer since the PDP-10! Mobile Technology has played a major role in my life - I have used an electronic companion since the HP95LX more than 20 years ago, and have been a 'Laptop First' person since my Compaq LTE Lite 3/20 and Powerbook 170 back in 1991! As an avid gamer and gadget-junkie I was constantly asked for my opinions on new technology, which led to writing small blurbs ... and eventually becoming a reviewer many years ago. My family is my biggest priority in life, and they alternate between loving and tolerating my gaming and gadget hobbies ... but ultimately benefits from the addition of technology to our lives!
