Yesterday T-Mobile unleashed the news that their MyTouch3G is going to have a new sibling in time for the holidays. The special edition MyTouch 3G will sport a 16GB memory card and be decked out in authentic 1977 era fake plastic wood. Rather than list this as “family station wagon brown” T-Mobile will slap a 3.5mm headphone jack (which should have been on the device from the start) and co-market it with guitar maker Fender. Rock on.

The back has that nice guitar-like finish but the front is rather ugly!

I agree, the back looks great. This would have been sweet with a black front and a guitar finish on the back.

… and with so many sweet Fender designs through the years, THIS is the front they chose?

+1 for Carly’s suggestion on the Black Front + Fender back!
