I've seen someone trying to compile a KJV Bible on the MobileRead forums with Table of Contents within books as well in ePub format, which would make a reader like the Sony Reader or some of the other ePub-compliant devices useful for someone who needs a small library of texts at hand without the pain induced by larger (and heavier) texts, along with search capability for when a specific passage doesn't immediately come to mind. One of the main limitations with readers like the Kindle and the Sony Reader, or even some of the other ones like the Aztek, is the limited support for non-Romantic languages, IIRC... something that needs to be solved in order to make them more universally usable.

Indeed, with technology being verbotten on Shabbat, IIRC, it’d be hard to use a Kindle there.
